I represent one of two children of Mrs. Humphries, enumerated with her in the Return of Women & Children, 31st Regiment of Foot, Capt. Varlo‘s Company, Sept 1768. My father is not named in the Return, but it is possible my mother is Margaret Humphries, wife of Adam Humphries of the 31st. One of us children, then, would be Richard.
