I represent Bryce McCumming. I was a sergeant in His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot, Major Bromley’s company, but was commissioned Quartermaster in 1772. Genealogical records show I was born in Ayrshire, Scotland, in 1739 and married Mary Lindsay in Fife, Scotland in 1760. We had four children by 1768: James, John, Margaret, and Jane. I died in 1805 in Montreal.
