I represent the child of Mrs. Ross enumerated with her in the Return of Women & Children, 31st Regiment of Foot, Capt. Varlo‘s Company, September 1768. My father was not named, and there are women already in the records that might be my mother (Susannah Ross, or the unnamed widow of James Ross), though she might be someone else entirely.
