Phyllis

Woman silhouetteRepresent this individual

I represent Phyllis. I was a woman of color enslaved by Alexander Moore of Pensacola. By instrument dated July 22, 1769, he used Molly as security on a debt to Robert Smyth of Charleston. But Molly died at some point before the debt was settled; so I was substituted for her.
