Jean

Man silhouetteRepresent this individual

I represent Jean. I was a man of color enslaved by Pierre Rochon. On November 4, 1772, he sold me to his younger brother, Jean. By instrument dated December 31, 1772, they used me as security on a debt to Daniel and Benjamin Ward. That debt was never repaid and I became the property of the Wards on August 5, 1773.
