Genevieve

Child silhouetteRepresent this individual

I represent Genevieve. I was a child of color born about 1759. I was a daugther of the mulatresse (woman of mixed race) Magdalene and was enslaved by Joseph Maison. I, my mother, and my little brother, François, were sold by Joseph Maison to Lazare Estardy on February 6, 1772. I was thirteen years old.
