I represent Elizabeth Murray, daughter of George and Edie Murray. My father was a corporal in His Majesty’s Regiment of Foot. The 31st was an infantry regiment that came to Pensacola in 1765 and stayed – with a brief transfer to St. Augustine in 1769 – until 1772. I was baptized – probably as an infant – on August 15, 1768. According to the Return of Women & Children of the 31st Regiment, September 1768, I had a sibling whose name was not given.
