Basil

I represent Basil. I was a man of color enslaved by Pierre Rochon Jr. of Mobile. The Rochons were an old, wealthy family who were planters, shipbuilders, and carpenters, and owned real estate in Pensacola. On January 7, 1772, he sold me and 13 other enslaved people to Elizabeth Benoist, his stepmother and widow of Pierre Rochon Sr.
