I represent Juliana La Cruz. I was born in Pensacola about 1770. In the 1820 Spanish census of Pensacola, I would be listed as a free parda woman of about 50 years old. I would live in household with two European men, one a business owner and one a tailor – my relationship with them would not be specified. But during my childhood in the British period in Pensacola, my enslavement status and surname are uncertain.
