I represent Maria Susana. I was a child of color born in Pensacola about 1780. At the time of the 1820 Spanish census of Pensacola, I was enumerated as a free negra woman, 40 years old and making my living as a laundress. I shared my household with my daughter Maria Francisca, a free parda woman. My enslavement status during my childhood in British West Florida is unknown.
