I represent Madeleine. I was a woman of color enslaved by Pierre Rochon [Jr.?] In an instrument dated January 1, 1772, he used me and two other enslaved people to secure a debt to Alexander Mackintosh. By instrument dated January 21, 1772, Pierre used me and Baptiste as security on a debt to John Miller and Peter Swanson. This debt was not paid thus I was surrendered to Miller and Swanson 5 AUG 1773.
