François

Child silhouetteRepresent this individual

I represent François. I was a child of color born about 1766. I was a son of the mulatresse (woman of mixed race) Magdalene and was enslaved by Joseph Maison. I, my mother, and my sister, Genevieve, were sold by Joseph Maison to Lazare Estardy on February 6, 1772. I was six years old.
