I represent Pedro de la Puente. I was a surgeon at the battle of Mobile in 1780. I appear in the 1784 Spanish census of Pensacola, living as a single man in the household of Don. Joaquin de Ortega and his family. According to New Orleans Diocesan records, my parents were Juan Manuel and Catalina Gonzales de la Puente of the town of Astudillo in Spain, and I married Antonia de la Cruz in December 1781.
