William Miller

I represent William Miller. I was a soldier in His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot, Capt. Archibald Hamilton‘s company. The 31st was an infantry regiment that joined the garrison at Pensacola in 1765. I died on August 4, 1767; no cause of death was given, though diseases like yellow fever, smallpox, and even scurvy were rampant in those early years of the colony. I probably still lie in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
