Pvt. Charles Richards

I represent Charles Richards. I was a private in His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot, Capt. Thomas Varlo‘s company. The 31st was an infantry regiment that joined the garrison of Pensacola in 1765. I died on March 3, 1766. The cause of death was dysentery, which was one of the many illnesses that swept through Pensacola in those early years of the colony. I likely still lie in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
