I represent Mrs. Crofton. I was on a list of 31st Regiment Officer’s Ladies who had died during the years 1765-1767. There was a yellow fever epidemic during that time, which probably claimed me in 1765. My husband is not named on this list, but it is probably Captain Edward Crofton of His Majesty’s 31 Regiment of Foot. That list also notes that our child died during the same period. We both probably still lie in unmarked graves in Pensacola.
