Child of Capt. Crofton

I represent the child of Captain and Mrs. Crofton. We came to Pensacola in spring of 1765 with the 31st Regiment. On the list of Officer’s Ladies and children who died during the period 1767-1767 – notable for a yellow fever epidemic – my mother and I are both listed. My father’s name is not given, but he is probably Capt. Edward Crofton of His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot. My mother and I probably still lie in unmarked graves in Pensacola.
