I represent Mary Maxwell. My husband, James, was stationed in the garrison at Pensacola with His Majesty’s 16th Regiment of Foot. We arrived with the regiment in the spring of 1770. We had a son named James. James was baptized as an infant on October 8, 1770. He died on October 12. He probably still lies in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
