Francisca Dauphin

I represent Francisca Dauphin. I was a European girl born in Pensacola about 1777. I appear in the 1784 census as an 8-year-old in the home of my parents, Francisco and Ysabel Pichol Dauphin, along with my brother, Francisco. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 45 years old and married to Don Eugenio Antonio Sierra, a surgeon. We had six children and shared our household with my elderly widowed father, Don Francisco Dauphin, and my brother, Don Santiago Dauphin. I lie buried in St. Michael’s cemetery; I am called “Frances” on my gravestone.
