I represent Elizabeth Pilott, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Digby Pilott. My father was a lieutenant of His Majesty’s 31st Regiment and Fort Major of the garrison at Pensacola. The family arrived in Pensacola in 1765; I was born there and baptized on January 13, 1769. I had two older sisters: Jane and Catherine Mary – Catherine Mary died during the yellow fever epidemic in 1765 soon after the family arrived; she was only a year old. A younger sister, Judith Henrietta, was baptized October 8, 1770.
