I represent James Miller. I served in His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot. We were an infantry regiment garrisoned at Pensacola beginning in t1765. I was married to Isabella Miller, and we had a daughter named Jane. Jane was baptized – probably as an infant – on February 16, 1769. There is a James Miller, Sr. that served in the 31st as well. The fact that the “Sr.” was included may mean that he was my father, though that has not as yet been established by the available evidence.
