Ann

Child silhouetteRepresent this individual

I represent Ann. I was a child of color in British Pensacola. My baptism is in the records of Rev. Nathaniel Cotton, where I was identified only as “Daughter of a Negroe woman named Phillis” I was baptized January 14, 1770. Though the record was silent on my status, I was probably enslaved. There were on a few free people of color in the colony.
