I represent John White, the son of John and Mary White. My father was a carpenter and merchant in British Pensacola. I was born March 31, 1771 and baptized on April 28, 1771. I had an older sister named Ann who was baptized on May 12, 1769, but she died on April 8, 1770. In August 1773, my father petitioned for land in the western part of the colony, stating he had two children and two apprentices, but he was on the Spanish list of Pensacola householders at the time of the capitulation in May 1781.
