I represent Elizabeth Robinson, the daughter of Samuel and Susannah Robinson. My father was a soldier in His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot. The 31st was an infantry regiment that joined the garrison of Pensacola in 1765 and, with a brief transfer to St. Augustine in 1769, it was not transferred out of West Florida until 1772. I was baptized – probably as an infant – on August 20, 1768.
