I represent William Burns. I was a resident of Pensacola during the British period, and I was a pilot in Pensacola Harbor. Harbor pilots were quite valued for navigating ships through to the port of Pensacola. I appear in the records by 1777 and I was on the list of householders in Pensacola at the time of the surrender on May 10, 1781.
