I represent William Brown. I was stationed in the garrison at Pensacola with His Majesty’s 16th Regiment of Foot, having arrived with the regiment in the spring of 1770. I was married to Frances Brown. We had a daughter, Elizabeth, who was born shortly after we arrived on June 14, 1770. She was baptized July 3, 1770, and died on September 18. She probably still lies in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
