I represent Mrs. Hipwood’s child, enumerated with her in the Return of Women & Children of the 31st Regiment, Maj. Bromley’s’ Company, in Sept 1768. My father’s name was not given in the Return, but it very likely was Francis Hipwood, a soldier of the 31st Regiment who died on July 5, 1768.
