I represent one of the three children of Mrs. Chaplain. We were enumerated in the Return of Women & Children of the 31st Regiment, Capt. Hodgson’s’ Company, in Sept 1768. This means my father served in that company of the 31st, attached to the garrison of Pensacola. His name is not on the Return, but it is possible it was Isaac Chaplin, who appears in another record.
