I represent Susanna Ross. My husband, who was not named in the record, was attached to His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot, an infantry regiment that joined the garrison at Pensacola in 1765. I contracted yellow fever during the epidemic of 1765-66 and recovered but died later, on September 12, 1769. I probably still lie in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
