I represent Mr. Stephen Sue. I appear on a listing of forces of the garrison at Ft. George at the surrender on May 10, 1781, listed as the Commissary’s Clerk. A Commissary is an officer in the military in charge of acquiring supplies and managing the logistics to get them where they need to go. But as this was handled for the military by the Quartermaster General, the list might be indicating I was the clerk to the Commissary of Indian Stores, Lewis Rose.
