I represent Juan Buenaventura Orueta. I was a 1st sergeant in the Grenadiers. According to New Orleans Diocesan records, my parents were Miguel and Francisca de Ayala de Orueta, and I married Josepha de Lisa in 1781. I was at the siege of Pensacola and was seriously wounded there. Josepha and I had children baptized in 1783. I died in 1787 at the age of 50, a retired second lieutenant in the Louisiana Regiment.
