I represent Robert Foley. I was a shipwright in British West Florida. The waters of the Gulf Coast were hard on the hull of a ship – worms and rot and hurricanes took their constant toll – so my services were probably in high demand. in July 1772 I was granted 600 acres of the attractive lands in the west of the colony, on the Comite River. I sold 300 acres of it to Philip Livingston later that same year.
