I represent Phillip Durnford, the son of Lt. Gov Elias and Rebecca Walker Durnford. I was born on March 31, 1780. There is a story that I was born during the siege of Mobile, while Rebecca and two other ladies were living in a hut under guard, but the siege of Mobile ended a couple of weeks before I was born and it is likely I was born in Pensacola or New Orleans.
