I represent Maria Murray. My mother was Margaret Dexter, and my father was James Murray, possibly the same who was Clerk and Adjutant to Lewis Rose at the time of the capitulation. I was called their “natural daughter” as I was born out of wedlock. I was baptized – likely as an infant – on November 15, 1770.
