Margaret Dexter

I represent Margaret Dexter. I was the consort of James Murray, possibly the same who was Clerk and Adjutant to Lewis Rose, Assistant Deputy Commissary, at the time of the capitulation. We had a child, Maria, who was baptized – likely as an infant – on November 15, 1770. She was characterized as our “natural” daughter, having been born out of wedlock.
