I represent Lewis Rose. Commissary of Indian Stores. That meant I was in charge of acquiring, storing and distributing items that the Crown kept for gifting and exchange with the local Indian nations. I was listed as staff of the garrison at Ft. George at the surrender on 10 MAY 1781, and would have become a prisoner of war with the other survivors.
