I represent Leonard Wisner. I was a resident of Pensacola during the British period. My occupation was blacksmith, but I appear to have worked mainly with firearms. In January 1780, I was on a list of payments to be made from the Crown, for “shaving Indian guns.” I was on the Spanish list of inhabitants remaining in Pensacola after the capitulation in May 1781, so I would have been made a prisoner of war and sent to New York on a Spanish transport vessel.
