I represent Juan Bautista de la Cruz. I was a soldier in the Louisiana Regiment under General Bernardo de Gálvez. I was born in 1751 in Bragania, Portugal, and I married Francisca Fevrey Via in 1779. I was at Manchac, Baton Rouge, Mobile, and the siege of Pensacola in 1781. I would eventually become a 1st Sergeant of the Regiment.
