I represent Juan Antonio de Bassot. I was a soldier in the Louisiana Regiment under Gen. Bernardo de Gálvez. I served at Manchac, Mobile, and the siege of Pensacola in 1781. I was born in 1747 in Lorraine, which was part of Germany at the time. I was single at the time of my service. I was promoted to Lieutenant in 1790.
