I represent Joseph Ryley. I served with His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot. The 31st was an infantry regiment that joined the garrison at Pensacola in 1765 and stayed (with a brief transfer to St. Augustine in 1769) until 1772. I was married to Sarah Ryley. We had a daughter, Mary, who died September 30, 1768. Mary probably still lies in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
