Joseph Bosgrove

I represent Joseph Bosgrove. I was a resident of Pensacola, listed in February 1780, and on a February 1781 petition stating my satisfaction with the performance of Governor Peter Chester (who was under fire from other colonists). I was identified as an artificer, or skilled craftsman. I was not listed on the Spanish census of the town at its capitulation on May 10, 1781, which may mean that I was among the inhabitants who were rumored to have made a break for Georgia before the surrender.
