I represent John Nixon. I served in His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot in British West Florida. The 31st was an infantry regiment that joined the garrison at Pensacola in 1765. I was married to Elizabeth Nixon, and we had a son named George. George was baptized – probably as an infant – on January 21, 1770.
