John Moore

I represent John Moore. I was a resident of Pensacola during the British Period. I was a barman and a merchant. I was living in Pensacola in February of 1780, but I am not on the list of householders who remained in Pensacola after the surrender in 1781. I must have moved out to the country by then. My widow, Dianah, stated in her 1786 claim to the Crown that I was killed in 1782 by Spanish-allied indigenous warriors on my way to my plantation in the country.
