I represent John Day. I was stationed in the garrison at Pensacola with His Majesty’s 16th Regiment of Foot, having arrived with the regiment in the spring of 1770. My wife’s name was Catherine, and we had a son named Edward William. He was baptized – probably as an infant – on August 12, 1770.
