John Cameron

I represent John Cameron. I was a soldier in in His Majesty’s 21st Regiment of Foot. The regiment was garrisoned in Mobile and Pensacola from 1765 to 1770. I died on December 12, 1768, probably of illness – diseases like yellow fever, dysentery and even scurvy were rampant among the British troops in the early years of the colony. I probably still lie buried in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
