James Miller, Sr.

I represent James Miller, Sr. I served in His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot, Lt. Col. Ralph Walsh‘s company. We were an infantry regiment garrisoned at Pensacola beginning in 1765. I died on April 26, 1767 – no cause of death in the record. It is interesting that the suffix “Sr.” appears in the record – there was another James Miller who had a young family; it is possible he was my son, though that has not as yet been established by the available evidence. I probably still lie in an unmarked grave in Pensacola.
