I represent Israel Boardman. I was a mariner from Stamford, Connecticut and a resident of Pensacola during the British period. In August of 1768 I petitioned the council to be granted seven islands containing 700 acres in the east branch of the Middle River (Blackwater). My family consisted of a wife (Sybil Warriner, who I married in 1752) and seven children. My name appears in the 1767-1768 ledger books of the Pensacola merchants Richard and Caleb Carpenter; I purchased vinegar and molasses from them. In 1783, my oldest son, Charles, would marry Elizabeth Carpenter, daughter of Richard and his second wife.
