Helen Marshall

I represent Helen Marshall, the wife of William Marshall Sr. We were the parents of Cornelia and William, Jr. Cornelia was baptized – probably as an infant – on September 29, 1768. William was baptized on October 14, 1770. My husband was a magistrate and member of Assembly in Pensacola. His name appears on the Spanish list of inhabitants remaining in Pensacola at the time of the capitulation in May 1781. Unless he had managed to get his family to safety, we would have become prisoners of war at that time and probably gone to New York on parole with the rest of the survivors of the siege of Pensacola.
