I represent George Nixon, son of John and Elizabeth Nixon. My father served in His Majesty’s 31st Regiment of Foot in British West Florida. The 31st was an infantry regiment that joined the garrison at Pensacola in 1765. I was baptized – probably as an infant – on January 21, 1770.
