I represent George Allen. I was stationed in the garrison at Pensacola with His Majesty’s 16th Regiment of Foot, having arrived with the regiment in the spring of 1770. I was married to Winifred Allen. We lost two infant daughters that year: Mary, who died on July 1, 1770 at 3 years old, and her younger sister Anne Margaret, who was baptized on August 5, 1770 but died on November 12. They probably both still lie in unmarked graves in Pensacola.
